Village Kids Nursery is a Non Profit Organization based in Somerset West that strives to make a difference to the lives of those less fortunate by giving them a proper education at no cost, so that they can create a better life for themselves. These are children whose parents are alcoholics, addicted to drugs and various other problems.

So far, the school has helped almost 100 children off the street, keeping them out of the hands of crime and given them the opportunity to be equally school ready as more fortunate children would be.



The only costs involved are the teacher's salaries. The volunteers do everything on their own, and it is completely selfless. The community is small, which means everyone makes a difference.




Village Kids is very proud of what the children have accomplished this year. Some of the children that have moved on to Primary school, still come back for help with homework. Thanks to all the extra effort and hard work from the teachers and volunteers, these children excel and have received achievement certificates from their schools.



Village Kids hopes to open a school in another needy area soon. The goal is to help even more children, increase their quality of life and give them the chance for an education. On Tuesday 8th December, the nursery school will be having a fun day where they will swapping presents and having snacks. The children will also be awarded with certificates at the graduation.
